Cobblestones Museum and Early Settler Village
History comes alive at Cobblestones. You can explore a working historic village right in the heart of Greytown. See, touch, and hear how Wairarapa’s early settlers lived, worked, and played in the 1800s and early 1900s. Six original heritage-listed buildings, two acres of glorious gardens, stories, and beautifully curated artefacts set the stage for a fascinating journey through time.
Experience Victorian life at your own pace, and join some family-friendly activities. Several times a year the Cobblestones Special Days are jam-packed with costumed staff, fire-engine rides, printing press demonstrations, craft-making, and games for children.
Open 10am until 4pm seven days during Summer and school holidays. Winter (1 June until 1 October) Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Other times by arrangement. Educational school visits by arrangement with storytelling, games and old-fashioned school experiences. Perfect venue for weddings and celebrations.
